Monsur Ali, DO, is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in primary care. Dr. Ali leads Candid Primary Care in Coppell, Texas. Dr. Ali grew up in East Harlem, New York. He received his medical training at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Tennessee. Dr. Ali went on to complete an Internal Medicine residency program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Ali served in the United States Army Medical Corps for four years as a Medical Corps officer and military physician, including an overseas deployment in West Africa. He received multiple Army Commendation Medals and an Honorable Discharge in June 2020.

In his practice at Candid Primary Care, Dr. Ali views himself as a partner in his patient’s medical care. He aims to serve and provide evidence-based treatments and compassionate counseling to those he sees. His areas of expertise include preventive medicine, internal medicine, cardiovascular disease prevention, and cancer prevention.

The Candid Primary Care clinic is also a state-of-the-art facility that offers an array of treatments under one roof. Patients can receive comprehensive annual physicals and get test results promptly through their on-site laboratory. Osteopathic manipulation is available for various musculoskeletal complaints.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Ali loves to spend time with his young family. He is fluent in Bangla and is learning to speak Urdu and Arabic. He loves to exercise, travel, and always looks for opportunities to give back.

Jeongyi “Jina” Shin, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant who works alongside Dr. Monsur Ali at Candid Primary Care in Coppell, Texas. Raised in Lewisville, Texas, Jina aims to serve the North Texas community and is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages.

Jina earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Midland, Texas. With a foundation in evidence-based medicine, she is committed to delivering high-quality care with a focus on preventive medicine, early intervention, and lifelong wellness.

At Candid Primary Care, Jina values building strong, long-term relationships with her patients. She believes that trust, communication, and respect are essential to quality care, and she strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and comfortable. She also believes that an important aspect of preventive medicine is developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, her goal is not only to treat and care for her patients, but also to educate and empower them to achieve sustainable, healthy lifestyle goals.

In her free time, Jina enjoys traveling, exploring different cuisines, spending time in nature, and crocheting. She also speaks conversational Korean.
